The scavenger hunt was a success! I think all the kids had fun searching for random items, and campers had fun helping them out! Thanks to Jo Jo, Caroline, and Robin for their help organizing everything. And thanks to everyone who donated prizes and helped count up the points at the end of the hunt! It was a great team effort and I think the kids had a lot of fun.
Halloween details will be posted next weekend at camp!!

The details are out on Halloween! The costume contest for kids and adults will be at the Rec Hall at 7:00 pm. Even if you’re not entering the contest, be sure to show up in costume for a group photo! Prizes will be awarded for Funniest, Scariest and Most Original. Trick or Treating around camp will follow. And be sure to stop by the store to register your site for the Best Decorated Site contest! Should be lots of fun, so lets get spooky!

Hey Everyone - so I printed up flyers for Soup and Salad Fest, and forgot to bring them to camp! In case I missed you this past weekend, Soup and Salad Fest will be at 5:00 pm on Sunday, August 31st at the Basketball Court. Bring your favorite soup, salad, dessert, bread or anything else you’d like to share. Bring something to sit on and something to eat with! Also, we are having a patriotic theme for Mitchell Dennis (Bob and Caroline’s son) who is leaving for Marine Boot Camp in September. We want to send him off in style, so we hope everyone can make it! Thanks!!

What an incredible turnout for “Soupfest 08″. We may need to expand out onto the docks for next years if it continues to grow. Bob Jade would have been proud of the quantity and quality of dishes. Caroline and I would like to thank all for the great sendoff Mitch received this weekend. It meant alot to our whole family. The campground has been a source for alot of great memories for him to reflect on when he has free time during his journey with Semper Phi.
