How Bout Them Fire Works?!

Well, summer is cranking right along nicely.  Hope your are lovin the record high (or at least near record high) temperatures this weekend.   Great time to be camping in New Hampshire on a Lake!

Anyway, since we bought this here campground, we have been told about the awesome fireworks display that has been put on each year.  Well this year won’t be any exception.  Get ready for July 5th on Province Lake!!  Right around dark, we will be setting off just shy of a ton of fireworks, literally!  That’s a lot of BOOM if you know what I mean!!  To put on this show, it takes a lot of money, therefore we are depending on donations.  Please help us to make this a fire works display to remember.  You can drop your donations off at the campground store, or mail them to Province Shores, P.O. Box 823, New Hampton, NH 03256.  You can also bring it to the event at the campground that night.  Anyway you can help, will be very much appreciated!  Thanks again!

Can’t wait for the Fire Works!

We are Open For Business!

Here we are, open for summer (finally)!  work continues on the campground, but great progress has been made.  If you haven’t been up here yet, your in for a pleasant surprise!

Anyway, we just wanted to bring everyone up to speed on a few things.  First Off, we want to welcome Susan Shell and Ed Levinson (applause)!  Susan will be keeping regular hours at the camp store for your convenience.  Ed and Susan will also be helping out in other regards around the campground.

What a painstakingly process that was!  Yesterday we sat down with a sales rep to figure out what to stock the store with.  Four and half hours later, I think we came up with a good selection.  We hope that you will enjoy what we picked out, but if not, let us know.  We are still learning, so your input as we go forward will be greatly appreciated.

Secondly, Roger wanted to let you all know that there will be a Vietnam War Memorial  on display at Constitutional Park in Center Ossipee on Route 25.  The display will be set up from May 22, 2008 until May 26, 2008.

Lastly, we are looking for pictures to go on our web site.  Most of you have been around for much longer than us, so I am sure you must have some interesting (but clean) pictures of people enjoying the campground!  We are hoping to find pictures of sitting around a campfire, relaxing on the beach, Cruising Province Lake in your boat, playing horse shoes, fireworks, sunsets or what ever else you would like the whole world to see!

Till Next Time

We are just about ready for summer!

The snow is just about all gone, and black fly season is in full swing, which can only mean one thing, it’s time for camping!  This past weekend was a huge success.  We had many people up to the campground cleaning out their sites, firing up the barbecue grills, starting the fire places and just catching up after a long winter.  As new campground owners, we have been nervous about this weekend since we bought the campground in November of 2007, but after meeting all the people that we could meet and seeing people having fun, made it all worth while.  We just have to say; what a great bunch of people, and it was a pleasure meeting everyone that we have met!

Work still continues at the campground as well.  The siding on the store is about 90% complete, some trees have been trimmed, the recreation hall is just about done and the improvements will continue over the next few weeks.  any thoughts about the new Province Shores Campground sign?

Chasing water leaks is proving to not be much fun though!  We are continuing to fix leaks as we find them.  If any of you find leaks that we haven’t, please let us know.

On another note: You guys are going to have to check out the restaurant at the golf course across the lake.  My Parents (Roger and Aline) ate there tonight and said it was delicious.  I didn’t know we had such a good restaurant so close to the campground, but I guess we do.  The owner of the restaurant also said that they will be doing movie night every Wednesday and Saturday night.  They also said that if you call ahead for reservations, you can take your boat over and they will pick you up with golf carts.  How cool is that!

Hopefully we will get some pictures to post on here over the next few days.  I brought my camera this past weekend and forgot to use it.  My Bad!

 Till next time,

Work has begun

Work Has Begun!!

With the warm weather we have been getting the last couple of weeks, the snow has finally started to recede!  Because of that, we have NOW started some work.  Some dead trees and branches have been cut, new docks have been ordered and a new Kabota backhoe/tractor has been purchased; whew! things are happening now.  This week, we are starting renovations on the store, bathhouse, and recreation hall.  A lot has been happening in preparation to an awesome year at Province Shores Campground.

On another note, do you want to make an extra $100.00?  It’s easy; we already owe 4 campers this $100.00.  Everyone is illegible, and some can be eligible to make this extra $100.00 more than once.  It’s easy and can be done with one phone call.  What is that I am talking about?  REFERRALS!!  We will pay you $100.00 if you can connect us with anyone that signs up for a  seasonal site.  We have 8 sites left and would like to get them filled with your friends and family!

 See you all real soon

Summer is coming!!

Are you as sick of winter as I am?  The campground has been completely buried with snow.  We shoveled the snow off of the club house roof last week and we had to shovel the snow up to get it off the roof!  But have no fear, summer camping will soon be here!

We at Province shores are getting excited for this upcoming camping season.  It will be our first season since we bought the campground from Buccaneer Bay.  We are looking forward to meeting everyone this summer.

 Till then!
